Experimental characterisation of as-built and retrofitted timber-masonry connections under monotonic, cyclic and dynamic loading

چکیده
• Testing as-built and strengthened timber-masonry connections. Analysis of monotonic, cyclic dynamic behavior joints. Masonry subjected to induced earthquakes may undergo less damage than in quasi-static tests. In the province Groningen (NL), where human-induced take place due gas extraction, a large part building stock is composed brick masonry walls timber diaphragms. this framework, connections play crucial role global seismic response buildings, but their properties structural behaviour have not been investigated yet for Dutch context. This work describes experimental campaign conducted at Delft University Technology characterize The joints were tested under either or loading, analyse effect an earthquake signal on connections’ terms strength, stiffness evolution. obtained test results provided more insight into capacity existing connections, useful knowledge effectiveness retrofitting methods.
